Since my last post concerns my "Christmas List" and it's now April, it doesn't take an Obamessiah to figure out that it's been four months since my last post. My apologies.
The fact is that it's a long story that I simply will not bore you with because this blog is not about me; it's about all of us. In addition, having a life and a job that requires constant travel sometimes precludes one from one's avocations. Until I can find a way to make this thing pay, I'm afraid it will remain an avocation.
About that Christmas list. Though I tried to be as magnanimous as possible, I ended up with a bag of coal. President Obama seems to be turning out pretty much as I feared he would - though the tab is far greater than even I could imagine.
The ONLY bright spot is that he gave the OK to kill three (3) pirates. Though I don't think that he had much choice in the matter, I'll give him credit where credit is due since had he not, I would have been first in line with vociferous denunciation. Naturally, the highest praise should go to the SEALs that did the job and the officers and men of the USS Bainbridge who did the deed and to the entire US Navy for being, well, the US Navy.
So I guess the score for the first 3 months of the new administration is Obama: 3 pirates and US taxpayers: $14,000,000,000,000 deeper in debt.
I miss George W. Bush. Hell, I even miss Bill Clinton!
