Israelis, Palestinians at the Brink of War
At Some Point, Enough is Enough

It would appear that Israeli-Palestinian tensions are quickly reaching the boiling point. Frankly, I'm surprised that it's taken this long. The Palestinians squandered yet another opportunity in a long line of opportunities by electing the terrorist thugocracy of Hamas to lead their burgeoning state. It would appear that people truly do get the government they deserve.

The depraved violence that has been a way of life for the Palestinians did not miss a beat with the creation of the state that they have so long craved, in fact it may have worsened. Endless bombings, murders and kidnappings of Israelis-all fully endorsed by the Hamas "government"- clearly do not indicate their thirst for peace. They indicate their thirst for Jewish blood and the destruction of Israel, the two things that really motivate the Muslim world.

Peace is not simply the absence of war; it is security and freedom from fear. Israeli citizens have lived in fear of these murderous animals for far too long. Eventually there must be a last straw and the wanton kidnapping and murder of an innocent 18 year old may well be that straw. Enough is enough.

As is the case with the War on Terror, there can be no peace and no negotiation with those who want you dead. Sadly, the only option available is to kill them and continue to kill them until their desire to live outweighs their bloodlust-or until none of them are left.

It is, as it has always been, up to the Palestinians. They can choose peace, or they can choose oblivion at the hands of the Israelis. I would prefer they choose peace, but I wouldn't bet on it.
